Legoland

On Tuesday the 8th Dad had plans to go golfing with a friend of his, so my Mom Ethan and I decided to make a trip to Lego Land. As we were getting ready to go, Mom received the call that her Sister had collapsed, and was in the hospital on life support. After realizing there wasn't much she could do, we decided to keep our plans. We knew that Legoland tickets were pricey, but we had heard an advertisement that we could get a free child's ticket if we went to Burger King. The only problem was we couldn't find a Burger King. So we just got on the road and headed for Carlsbad. We needed to stop to get lunch, and a few other items before going to the park. We were in luck because there was a Costco just a mile from the Entrance to Legoland. We went to get what we needed, and found they had Legoland tickets much cheaper than at the gate!! Wooo whooo!!!!
Once we left Costco it was nearly 2pm, and the park closed at 8. We were only a bit concerned that we wouldn't have much time there.
We entered the park and there were no lines, and the weather was Perfect! We were able to do just about everything we wanted and decided that we had just the right amount of time there.
My favorite area was Miniland. There were miniature cities, New York, New Orleans, Washington DC, Las Vegas, and I think there were a few more. We really only spent time in Vegas, and DC. Ethan was wanting to go do "kid stuff".
Having grown up in Las Vegas I really enjoyed the amazing detail on the hotels on the strip. I loved the sign on the Treasure Island for Mystere.

Now for those of you that live in Vegas, or have spent much time there will probably be as entertained by the next few pictures as I am. If you don't get it, you probably don't want to :)

Ethan's favorite ride was a horse ride that had the longest line in the park...

I could go on and on and on. There were so many fun things to do and see. We had a great time, and hope to get to go back soon. Ethan is the perfect age to really enjoy all of the Legos. It has been fun to see how much he has played with all of his Lego's since we have been home. I will just include a few more fun pictures of the park.

After a great day at Legoland we met my Dad at a great pizza place, for a great way to end the day. Thanks Mom and Dad!!
